Educational content only

This site is an educational reference about rapamycin (sirolimus). It is not medical advice, it does not create a clinician relationship, and it sells no products. Rapamycin (sirolimus) is an FDA-approved prescription immunosuppressant (Rapamune) for organ-transplant rejection prophylaxis. Taking it for longevity is off-label and unproven. The label carries a boxed warning for immunosuppression (infection, lymphoma and other malignancies), prohibits grapefruit, lists serious interactions through CYP3A4 and P-glycoprotein, and recommends therapeutic drug monitoring for all patients. No completed human trial has tested whether rapamycin extends lifespan or reduces age-related disease. Decisions about starting, stopping, or continuing sirolimus, and about any lab result it produces, belong with a licensed clinician who knows your history. Bring this site's citations to your clinician; do not bring its pages in place of one.
